Skate Park, Sochi

Sochi Skate Park is an outdoor space designed for skateboarding, BMX riding, and freestyle scooters. It is built mainly from smooth concrete and follows widely used skate park standards. The layout combines open flow lines with distinct sections, allowing smooth movement between areas. The park is open on all sides, which supports a social, shared atmosphere throughout the day.

The design includes bowls of different depths, curved transitions, ledges, stairs, handrails, and flat zones for technical practice. Beginners tend to use the flat areas, while experienced riders prefer bowls and rails. The smooth surface supports good control, and most users follow informal rules, taking turns and staying aware of others. Helmets and pads are common, especially among younger riders.

The skate park also functions as a casual meeting place. People often watch, sit nearby, or record short videos. Evening lighting keeps the area active after sunset, with music, small groups, and a relaxed social pace that reflects everyday youth culture.
