Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, Kingston

The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning stands as a charitable arts organization situated within the J.K. Tett heritage building on the picturesque waterfront of Lake Ontario. This historic structure underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2015, reclaiming its former glory as part of the Morton Brewery and Distillery Company built in the mid-19th century.

Currently housing nine arts organizations, including the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, along with eight Creativity Studio Artists, the J.K. Tett Centre offers a diverse array of rental spaces, including the Malting Tower, Rehearsal Hall, Tett Gallery, and Activity Room. Adding to its appeal is the fully licensed Juniper Café, featuring a waterfront patio that offers breathtaking views of Lake Ontario.

Collaborating with resident arts organizations, the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning forms an integral part of an arts hub that extends to the Queen's University performing arts facility, the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning actively contributes to the vibrant arts community in Kingston, fostering collaboration among tenant groups, Queen's University, and the broader Kingston community. Offering opportunities for immersion in Canadian arts, the Tett Centre provides classes, workshops, exhibitions, and open house events.

It also hosts The Kingston Arts Council - founded in 1963 and it is Ontario’s oldest arts council and the Modern Fuel Gallery which features contemporary and visual art by both established and emerging artists.
