Tour du Siège de la Région Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Lille

Hauts-de-France Regional Headquarters Tower (Tour du Siège de la Région Nord-Pas-de-Calais) is a notable architectural feature in Lille. Completed in 2006, this modern structure rises 67 meters and spans 17 stories, prominently featuring a glass façade that adds to its contemporary appeal. The building serves as the headquarters of the Hauts-de-France regional council.

Designed by a team comprising Luc Delemazure, Atelier Neveux SARL, and Wilmotte & Associés SA, the tower was the result of a competitive process that highlighted the architectural creativity and vision of these firms. In 1999, a jury led by Michel Delebarre selected five teams from a pool of 57 candidates for the final competition. Luc Delemazure and his collaborators emerged as winners, tasked with the architectural design, while the Paris-based Wilmotte firm was responsible for the interior architecture.

The creation of the Regional Headquarters Tower underscores the increasing importance and empowerment of regional governance in France, reflecting a shift in political and administrative structures that began with legislative changes in the early 1970s. The tower not only functions as a hub for regional governance but also stands as a symbol of the modern architectural ethos that defines many of today's public buildings in France.
