Wax Nightclub, Kitchener

Wax Nightclub, Kitchener

Wax Nightclub opened in 2002 and has long been part of the region’s nightlife scene. In recent years, it has also operated under the name The Hub, and events in 2026 may appear under either title. Even with this shift in branding, many people still refer to the space as Wax. It is especially popular with university and college students, and it continues to draw a young, energetic crowd.

The club is located above a pub and centres on an upstairs dance floor equipped with strong sound systems, laser lights, and changing light displays. The DJ booth overlooks the main floor, keeping attention on the music. Over the years, the venue has featured hip hop, EDM, and techno, along with live acts such as Classified and Monster Truck.

In 2026, the venue may operate mainly on selected nights, such as Fridays, or during scheduled events rather than every evening of the week. The atmosphere remains fast-paced, with quick bar service and themed parties throughout the year. Visitors should note that a strict dress code is often enforced, and items such as sports jerseys, tank tops, or track pants may not be allowed.
