Ziraat Bankasi, Ankara

Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Ziraat Bankası, commonly known as Ziraat Bankası, holds the position of being the second-largest bank in Turkey, trailing only İş Bankası in terms of size and influence. According to "The Banker" magazine's "Top 1000 World Banks in 2004" report, TC Ziraat Bankası A.S. secured the 115th spot in the global ranking.

This financial institution, originally named Homeland Funds, was initially established by the government as an agricultural financial entity, backed by a state guarantee. In 1888, it underwent a name change to become Ziraat Bankası, with its headquarters situated in Istanbul. During this period, the Greek Invasion Forces set up a Ziraat Bank Management Center in İzmir and took control of various branches and funds, which were subsequently placed under the management of this new center.

In 2001, Ziraat Bankası underwent a significant development when it merged with Emlak Bankası, ultimately leading to the closure of the latter institution.

Ziraat Bank is Turkey's strongest and most influential financial institution. It has played a vital role in financing various sectors of the economy, contributing to economic growth. With a large portfolio and a wide range of products and services, Ziraat Bank leads the industry. Its collaborative structure, strong human resources, and solid financial foundation enhance its competitive edge. Year after year, it remains Turkey's top domestic bank in a fiercely competitive sector.
