The eight-minute cable car ride to the top of Mount Teide, Spain’s highest mountain, is a must for panoramic views over the whole island. Mount Teide is the world’s third largest volcano and the cable car takes visitors 1,200 metres above the crater floor.

Don’t miss the chance to explore this beautiful, otherworldly landscape. Teide National Park is a Unesco World Heritage Site and there are plants here that are found nowhere else on earth. From the cable car station, it’s a 40-minute walk to the top of the crater - an exciting challenge for older children.

The Thai-themed water park here is the biggest in Europe and is packed with water slides and white knuckle rides. You can ride relatively sedately down the Man Thai River in a rubber dinghy or go as fast as you dare down one of the more high-speed rides.
