Académie de la Bière, Strasbourg

Académie de la Bière, Strasbourg

In 1986, the Académie de la Bière came into existence within the heart of Petite France in Strasbourg. This establishment, already imbued with its historical elements (such as the tiled roof from its time as a nighttime bar and the American-style windows inherited from a jeans factory), gradually evolved a unique beer-focused concept. This concept included beer exploration, along with accompanying snacks that eventually transitioned into a full-fledged brasserie cuisine.

L'Académie de la Bière represents a novel approach to beer bars, with a strong emphasis on discovering a variety of beers-be they French, Belgian, German, or locally crafted. Sporting 20 taps and offering 75 bottled beer options, the selection is nothing short of exceptional. Complementing the diverse beer choices are their delectable Tartes Flambées and renowned cheeseburgers. For those with hearty appetites, the triple cheeseburger stands as an enticing option.

Diverging from the typical ambiance of French bar-brasseries and Anglo-Saxon pubs, the establishment offers a refined, contemporary, and inviting atmosphere. The musical backdrop primarily comprises deephouse, electro/electro-pop, and hints of hip-hop. Rest assured, both the beer and the music defy commercial or industrial tendencies. For sports enthusiasts, three monitors are at your disposal to keep you abreast of all the pivotal sporting events.
