Al Mina Mosque, Hurghada

Al Mina Mosque is the largest in Hurghada. Originally established in 1968, it faced contention against its replacement with a modern structure. Construction for the new building commenced in 2006, with its inauguration to the public in 2012. Adorned with pure white marble and featuring towering 40-meter minarets, the mosque's exterior is embellished with traditional oriental motifs.

The architectural design of the mosque embodies the essence of traditional Islamic aesthetics, serving as a testament to the rich religious, cultural, and historical legacy of the region. Guests can marvel at its intricate tile work and meticulously carved details, which are quintessential features of Islamic architecture.

Inside, visitors are greeted with a richly decorated inner hall, replete with colorful chandeliers, ornate arches, engraved walls, and a majestic 25-meter high dome. Guided tours are available for those interested in exploring its splendor.

Visitors should adhere to a modest dress code, particularly women who are required to cover their hair, knees, and shoulders. Al Mina Mosque provides loaned attire for those in need. Additionally, both men and women are expected to remove their shoes before entering the mosque premises.
