Apteekki Pub, Turku

Apteekki Pub, located on the historic slope of Kaskenmaki in Turku, offers a unique fusion of history and contemporary pub culture. Housed in the former Turku New Pharmacy, which originally opened its doors in 1907, the pub retains much of its early 20th-century charm, thanks to architect Frithiof Strandell, who designed both the building and its original pharmacy furnishings. These furnishings have remained largely unchanged, preserving the authentic atmosphere of the old pharmacy.

Established in 1993, Apteekki Pub embraces its medicinal roots with a playful twist, offering patrons a chance to "prescribe" their own drinks from an extensive selection of beers, ciders, whiskies, and stronger spirits.
