The Atlanta Contemporary Art Center had humble beginnings as a cooperative gallery established by a group of photographers in 1973. Over the years, the center has grown to become a vital institution in the local contemporary arts scene. Spanning an impressive 35,000 sq-feet, the multidisciplinary nonprofit boasts a large exhibition space and 12 artist studios within a striking warehouse complex. In addition to its regular series of lectures, film screenings, and workshops, the annual Art Party held at the end of each summer is a must-attend event, featuring lively celebrations set among interactive installations. With its dynamic exhibitions, artist studios, and exciting events, the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center is a hub of creative energy that shouldn't be missed by anyone interested in contemporary art and culture.
