Atlanticwall Museum Scheveningen, Hague

The Atlantic Wall Museum Scheveningen is situated in the Scheveningen district of The Hague. It allows the public to explore preserved sections of the Atlantic Wall, and it's operated by a team of dedicated volunteers. Similarly, in the same district, you can find the Bunker Museum The Hague, which shares a somewhat similar mission.

On Heritage Day in 2008, the Atlantic Wall Museum Scheveningen Foundation unveiled a bunker on Badhuisweg in Scheveningen. This bunker, a type 608 command bunker measuring 15 by 17 meters, was once part of Widerstandnest 318 Verteidigungsstab. It houses not only numerous wartime photographs but also a collection of Second World War artifacts. During those two days, the command bunker drew in over 4000 visitors. Today, the Foundation's visitor center is located at this site. The 608 bunker has been partially restored to its original condition, and there's an exhibition dedicated to The Hague during the Second World War.

The Atlantikwall Museum Scheveningen Foundation collaborates with the Mammal Working Group South Holland to offer guided tours of the radar complex 'Widerstandsnest 66 HM' in the Westduinen. This tunnel system within the complex serves as a sanctuary for bats and is accessible for public viewing on specific days, typically outside the winter season, with very rare exceptions.
