B Galleria, Turku

B Galleria, located in the heart of Turku, is a vibrant, non-profit, and artist-run space dedicated to showcasing contemporary art. Since its founding in 2005 by the Contemporary Culture Association Plan B, the gallery has focused on providing young and emerging artists with an affordable and approachable platform to exhibit their works. B Galleria is known for its diverse programming, which includes not only visual art exhibitions but also concerts, film screenings, lectures, and art workshops.

With two exhibition spaces, the gallery organizes shows that highlight new talents and unconventional projects. Twice a year, artists can apply for exhibitions, with each exhibition period lasting three weeks. Additionally, B Galleria offers a free project space in the back room, ideal for more experimental and lower-risk exhibitions, performances, and art happenings.

Beyond its art offerings, B Galleria is also home to B-butik, a trendy boutique that sells limited-edition clothes, jewelry, and other items from contemporary designers, making it a unique fusion of artistic and commercial creativity in Turku's cultural landscape.
