Busan Museum, Busan

Busan Museum, established on July 11, 1978, stands as a cultural repository dedicated to the collection, preservation, display, and research of Busan's rich heritage. The museum's commitment to preserving the cultural wealth of Busan is reflected in its vast collection, which encompasses an impressive 45,000 artifacts. While not all of these treasures are on constant display, the museum regularly showcases around 1,300 artifacts in its permanent exhibition rooms.

In 2002, Busan Museum embarked on a remodeling project that included the construction of Exhibition Hall 2, resulting in the expansion of the museum to ten permanent exhibition rooms. This addition provided space for a planned exhibition area, a heritage research room, an experience hall, a lecture hall, and more.

The second exhibition building serves as a dedicated space to showcase heritage objects acquired through excavations, donations, and purchases. These artifacts, spanning from prehistoric times to the present age, serve as valuable historical evidence, offering insights into the character, history, and culture of Busan.
