Champ de Mars Park, Montpellier

The Champ de Mars Park is an extension of the Place de la Comedie. The park contains many attractions in addition to the numerous exotic trees and plants that decorate the center of Montpellier. There is a small lake with ducks, a fountain, monuments and numerous shopping spots. The park was designed by the famous landscapist Edward André and was opened in 1900. The Champ de Mars covers 35 000 square meters.
