Chelsea Market, New York (must see)
The Chelsea Market is one of Manhattan's highlights, where shopping, eating and entertainment take center stage. It is a gigantic Wholesale/Retail Food complex that takes up an entire city block. Originally, the building was the old Nabisco plant, where, in 1898, the Oreo Cookie was created. The Chelsea Market opened in 1997, with only a couple of tenants, and today you'll find here nearly 20 specialty places to eat, drink and shop to your heart's desire.
Why You Should Visit:
If you like food, you will love this place - an endless corridor and collection of foods, chocolates, and some wine shops. There is also an Artists and Flea Market on the west end which then leads you to the Highline. It's the perfect spot to find a locally made gift to take home or to find something unique for yourself.
Tip:
Make sure to walk the entire market so that you see all the food options before choosing.
Operation Hours:
