Gallery Nine, originally established in 1982 as the Saint James Gallery by Ron Sloman, has evolved over the years, reflecting the dynamic nature of art itself. Gallery Nine distinguishes itself not just by its location but also through its commitment to featuring affordable, original contemporary art, with a particular emphasis on British works.

The gallery's expertise is notably evident in its Studio Pottery collection, which includes pieces from renowned artists like Walter Keeler, Richard Batterham, and Sasha Wardell. Furthermore, Gallery Nine takes pride in its limited edition artists' prints from luminaries such as Richard Bawden, Howard Phipps, Paul Cleden, and David Gentleman, alongside Anita Klein and many others.
