Hurghada Grand Aquarium, Hurghada

The Hurghada Grand Aquarium was inaugurated in 2015 and it has established itself as one of the largest aquariums in the region. With over 1200 animals representing 100 species, the aquarium boasts an impressive collection residing in nearly a million US gallons of marine and freshwater.

Featuring an array of notable specimens such as Sandbar sharks, Tiger sharks, and Green sea turtles, among others, the aquarium is divided into 24 distinct galleries, each showcasing both saltwater and freshwater species. Additionally, a mini zoo section houses rescued animals from various regions across Egypt. At the heart of the aquarium lies the Ocean tank, housing several hundred fishes within its 475,000-gallon capacity, meticulously designed to emulate the vibrant reef systems of the Red Sea.

Beyond its role as a tourist attraction, the Hurghada Grand Aquarium places significant emphasis on conservation and environmental awareness.
