Lucky Labrador Beer Hall, Portland

Lucky Labrador Beer Hall, Portland

Lucky Labrador Beer Hall is a spacious brewpub operated by an independent brewing company founded in 1994. Opened in 2006, this location occupies a converted Freightliner truck manufacturing facility dating from 1947. Historic factory photographs, old wooden floors, exposed structural elements, and an industrial overhead crane preserve links to the building’s former use.

The brewery produces pale ales, porters, IPAs, seasonal releases, and rotating small-batch beers. Brewing equipment can be seen behind the bar, allowing guests to observe part of the production area. Oregon’s first solar-powered brewery serves simple pub food at long communal tables.

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, continuing the pet-friendly tradition associated with the brewery’s name. The hall avoids televisions and electronic gaming machines, encouraging visitors to talk, read, play cards, or simply enjoy their drinks. Community gatherings, cycling events, private celebrations, and charity fundraisers have also made the venue a familiar social meeting place.
