Nuragica is the most surprising journey through time in the prehistory of Sardinia and is permanently hosted in Cagliari The exhibition is an original History Show that began its journey in 2017 and tells the story of the ancient Sardinian people, that is, of those who built famous nuraghi , the characteristic towers of enormous stone blocks, on the island 3,500 years ago , mostly still preserved. The Nuragic civilization developed in Sardinia from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age, that is, in the period between 1700 and 700 BC and constitutes the first great Italian history, much older than the subsequent Etruscan and Roman civilizations. 8,000 nuraghi still standing, around 800 giants' tombs, over 40 wells and sacred sources, hundreds of bronze artefacts, vases, ornaments, statues: the Nuragic civilization was certainly the most important phenomenon of Sardinian prehistory and the one that left the greater number of testimonials. Nuragica offers a unique experience with the ancestors of the Sardinian people, offering a "journey through time" that unfolds along an immersive and multi-sensory journey in which villages, nuraghi and rituals come to life thanks to spectacular scenography and settings. The large Immersive Virtual Reality room ends the journey. Thanks to this technology, you can walk, move and live within the fantasy but realistically rendered world of Italy's first civilization, developed 1,000 years before the birth of Rome! An exciting and unforgettable experience that has already thrilled visitors from all over the world. Unique in its kind for the integration between culture, tourism and new technologies, Nuragica is considered a cutting-edge exhibition in Italy, an ideal opportunity to learn in an innovative way about a part of Sardinian history that is not sufficiently known. ***PH***
