Orto Botanico (Botanical Garden and Herbarium), Bologna

Established in 1568, the Botanical Garden of the University of Bologna stands as one of Italy's oldest. Spanning approximately two hectares, extending to the ancient city walls, it showcases a remarkable array of plant collections and reconstructed natural habitats, mirroring the associations found in their native environments. There are four greenhouses, two of which house tropical plants while the remaining two host a diverse collection of succulents.
