The Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma Hall of Fame, housed in the beautifully restored former Mid-Continent Life Insurance Building, is a must-see for visitors interested in the state’s rich legacy. Originally founded in 1927 to mark Oklahoma’s statehood and celebrate outstanding Oklahomans, the organization transitioned into its current home at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum in 2007.

Since then, it’s offered an interactive experience that honors distinguished residents-from legendary figures like Will Rogers, Jim Thorpe, Mickey Mantle, Gene Autry, and Reba McEntire to modern trailblazers.

Step inside and you’ll find more than just portraits: a thoughtfully designed Legacy Map featuring over 700 inductees, a series of rotating exhibits, and engaging installations like the “Picture Yourself” and Makerspace where visitors of all ages can learn, play, and create.
