UNICORN (souvenir store), Heidelberg

UNICORN (souvenir store), Heidelberg

UNICORN is a long-established souvenir shop in the historic centre, offering German-made gifts alongside practical household goods and regional keepsakes. Its packed displays contain items at different price levels, from small key rings and ornaments to porcelain, decorative glassware and larger collectors’ pieces. A large Steiff giraffe traditionally marks the entrance.

The Steiff selection is one of the shop’s main features, with teddy bears, soft animals, key rings and limited editions. Other items include Feiler towels, Meissen porcelain, Hummel figures, beer steins and Römer wine glasses. Traditional German crafts include nutcrackers, wooden smoking figures and dolls dressed in regional clothing.

UNICORN also carries products not usually associated with a standard souvenir store. These include German kitchen knives, scissors, manicure tools and other utensils from manufacturers such as Zwilling and Wüsthof. Food gifts, bath products and candles suit travellers with limited luggage. Japanese-speaking staff also assist visitors from Japan.

A Walk Through Heidelberg's Charming Old Town
