Valley Station Cable Car, Bregenz (must see)

Valley Station Cable Car, built in the western part of Bregenz in 1927, was designed by Willibald Braun, a prominent Austrian architect. A unique combination of mechanical and architectural elements, the original construction remains intact. Serving about 300,000 people annually, it is Austria’s second-oldest cable station. The 1,064 meter uphill trek by the modern Valley Station Cable Car takes 6 to 7 minutes to reach the top.
