We went to Lisbon towards the end of our tour of Portugal, and we loved it – its packed with things to do and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip.

It’s a modern and trendy city with plenty going on, but still packed with old-world charm and culture. It’s a maze of narrow streets, vibrant neighbourhoods, and stunning vistas. There’s plenty of things to do in Lisbon, and places to see!

We’ve been back since and always find more to do and explore. This guide to the best things to do includes all our tips on what to do, including the common tourist things and a few hidden gems.

Alfama is Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood, a labyrinth of narrow streets, steep staircases, and charming corners.
