5 Bars You Should See in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain

As soon as the weather starts warming up Sanlúcar transforms from a quaint little beach town to a holiday hot spot! Sevillanos usually make their way to Sanlúcar on the weekends to escape the summer heat along with tourists from other parts of Spain, UK, Germany, France etc. Sanlúcar comes to life at night during the summer months and if you’re in town there’s a few stops you should make during your night out! Cocktails usually cost around 5 - 7 euros and beer (Spanish beer brands like Cruzcampo or Estrella de Galicia) go for 1 - 2 euros a glass/bottle.

Abadia is a great spot to start off your night! I especially like their Bailey’s Coffee Concoction (no idea what’s in it, the bartender named Michel invented it); there’s indoor seating with big cushy chairs and the bar has a fabulous interior patio which is perfect for enjoying the warm summer nights. It’s also a popular spot with locals for an after-lunch coffee and cake. Drink prices are reasonable and it’s one of the only spots in town you can order a cocktail with Grey Goose!

Ribera 22 is conveniently located on the corner of the Plaza de Cabildo. This little bar is a favorite spot amongst locals; people usually stand and chat inside or outside in the street, there’s also seating along the outer wall of the bar which is perfect for enjoying a cocktail. This bar’s specialty is gin & tonic so make sure to check out their fantastic drink menu! ...... (follow the instructions below for accessing the rest of this article).
