I call the post devoted to the best of Kraków in three days enjoyable and challenging. Indeed, although small in size (about 750,000 people live in Krakow), the Polish city offers so many things to see and do. Its small size makes it easy to visit: almost all the places I describe are within easy walking distance.

The list of what to see in Krakow cannot but begin with the Market Square (Rynek Glowny). The first feeling upon seeing Market Square is one: it is gigantic. And indeed it is! The square shape of Market Square exceeds 200 meters in length: in 1247, when it was built, it was the largest square in Europe.

Its important role was also appreciated, sadly, in the Nazi period. Hitler, in fact, wanted to Germanize Krakow, and he also did so in the name of the square, which became Hitler Square in the period of Nazi occupation.

Market Square offers many things to see: the Basilica of St. Mary, the City Hall Tower, St. Adalbert Church, the covered textile market, and the underground tour of the city.
