The best of Sarajevo in three days is, in my opinion, a poorly asked question. In fact, I consider Sarajevo a city to be experienced, to be appreciated slowly, to be absorbed slowly. I had high expectations of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Sarajevo did not disappoint them. In fact, far from it! The visit to Sarajevo, to which I devoted no less than five days (one of them dedicated to a day tour in Mostar and Herzegovina), surprised me. Sarajevo’s mix of cultures is impressive. With a five-minute walk you can find a mosque, a Catholic church, an Orthodox church and a synagogue. What impressed me most, however, was seeing people drinking beer and smoking hookahs in the same bars: at times, the cultural blend works.
