Best of Krakow in Three Days!
I call the post devoted to the best of Kraków in three days enjoyable and challenging. Indeed, although small in size (about 750,000 people live in Krakow), the Polish city offers so many things to see and do. Its small size makes it easy to visit: almost all the places I describe are within easy walking distance.
Krakow - Southern Poland’s Visual Gem
Dating back as far as the 7th century, Kraków is one of the oldest cities in Poland. According to legend, Kraków was built on the dragon’s cave that the mythical King Krak had slain.
Krakow's Jewish Quarter
Today I joined the tour for Krakow’s Jewish Quarter. The English-speaking tour met at in front of St. Mary’s Basilica in Old Town at 2:30pm. Given it was winter time and dark very early, the tour was two hours rather than the advertised two and half hours. That was fine with me.
My Favourite Moments Visiting Krakow, Poland
Arguably Poland’s most popular tourist destination, visiting Krakow is a dreamland for those who love historic old towns and exploring local culture. Given how much praise I had heard for it beforehand, I arrived to the city in Poland’s south cautiously optimistic.
Things to Do in Krakow in Winter
The city of Krakow offers beautiful architecture, incredible food, and fun to explore – everything we love. But, although we won’t be moving there or anywhere else any time soon, we both very much look forward to visiting other regions in Poland.
