Fantasilandia, Santiago

Fantasilandia, situated in Santiago, is a popular amusement park established in 1978 within O'Higgins Park. At its inception, the park boasted eight attractions, including the "Galaxy" coaster, "Mansion Siniestra," "Ford T," and "Century 2000."

Over the years, Fantasilandia has evolved, replacing many of its classic rides with modern ones like "Top Spin," "Xtreme Fall," and "Boomerang." In 2007, they introduced the thrilling "Tsunami" (Shoot the Chute) ride, which replaced the old "Splash" ride, marking the park's 30th anniversary. Another new attraction, "Villa Magica," opened in the Kids Zone alongside "Cine Magic 3D" and various fast food spots.

In subsequent years, Fantasilandia continued to expand its offerings. Notably, they welcomed the "Raptor," a Vekoma SLC coaster, in 2008. The Kids Zone saw the addition of three Italian-made rides - "Rockin' Tug," "Toing & Boing," and "Buggy Jump" - in 2009. The park's repertoire expanded even further with the introduction of the "Volare," a Wave Swinger by Zierer, and "Ikarus," a German-built Condor ride, in late 2010 and 2011, respectively.

In December 2012, Fantasilandia marked its 35th anniversary with the addition of an "Air Race" ride by Zamperla Rides. They continued to improve visitors' experiences by building a kid-themed restaurant nearby and introducing the new Mack Rides Twist 'n' Splash ride, which opened the next year.

In December 2014, Fantasilandia introduced the "Moby Dick" ride, manufactured by Wisdom Rides, which officially opened to the public in January 2015. Throughout the years, Fantasilandia has continually reinvented itself, providing thrilling and enjoyable experiences for visitors of all ages.
