Galerie Ulrike Hrobsky, Vienna
Galerie Ulrike Hrobsky showcases both established and emerging artists in the field of contemporary art, with a primary focus on painting, sculpture, and drawing. As part of the broader "Month of Photography" initiative across Europe, the gallery also presents works that bridge the gap between photography and painting, featuring artists who are part of their represented roster.
The gallery has cultivated a close relationship with the Papiermachermuseum Steyrermühl in Upper Austria, leading to collaborations with artists, both local and international, who explore the creative potential of paper in two and three-dimensional forms. Notable artists such as Tone Fink, Walter Weer, Reinhard Wöllmer, Alexandra Deutsch, and Tilmann Zahn have contributed to this exploration. Between 2007 and 2018, the museum hosted large-scale paper-based installations, making them accessible to a wide audience.
In an effort to provide a platform for emerging talents on an international scale, Galerie Hrobsky initiated the European Art Project in 2005, collaborating with colleagues from various European countries.
Annually, Galerie Ulrike Hrobsky curates an exhibition at the Museum of Papercrafting in Steyrermühl, and many of these exhibitions are documented through publications. Additionally, the gallery actively participates in art fairs in both Germany and Austria.
