Goldschmiede Mosslacher (Mosslacher Goldsmiths), Zell am See

Goldschmiede Mosslacher (Mosslacher Goldsmiths), Zell am See

Goldschmiede Mösslacher is a long-established family goldsmith business with roots going back to 1931, when Friedrich Mösslacher founded the workshop. The business has continued through three generations. Ursula and Kurt Mösslacher took over in 1979, and their daughter, Anna Rieger-Mösslacher, became head of the shop in 2022. Today, Kurt works as master goldsmith while Anna adds the perspective of a trained journeyman goldsmith.

The shop is closely tied to local life rather than shaped only around visitors. Since 1950, it has remained in the same central storefront, watching the surrounding town change from a smaller Alpine community into a busy travel destination. Its focus on regular local customers gives tourists a glimpse of a real Austrian family business. Locals come for wedding rings, repairs, redesigns, gifts, and personal pieces linked to family milestones.

Customer and employee loyalty are part of its character. One notable example is Angela, who has worked with the business since 1976 and represents the steady personal service that many long-running family shops are known for. The workshop is known for original, regionally recognized jewellery design. For tourists, it shows a tradition built on careful craft, family continuity, and local trust.
