Greens XL, Zell am See

Greens XL, Zell am See

Greens XL is a nightlife venue connected with Greens Pub, giving tourists two different evening settings in one place. The upper level follows a “Small Bar, Big Music” idea, with a close, living-room atmosphere, compact seating, and a focus on classic rock, modern rock, and live acoustic performances. This makes it feel more like a local music hangout than a formal bar. Visitors can stop in for drinks, conversation, and guitar-led music before moving into the stronger club mood below.

The lower Greens XL space creates a clear contrast. Set in a vaulted stone cellar, it is designed for electronic music, club sounds, hip-hop beats, cocktails, and dancing. The basement has a rustic-meets-modern look shaped by wood, stone, and low-lit details. Local stories link much of the basement renovation to co-owner Tom, known as the “Heimwerker-King” or DIY King. Along with Karl and Hannes, he gives the venue a personal local character.

Greens XL is also known for several unusual nightlife habits. Its double happy hour from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM brings in early visitors, while winter evenings can turn into lively après-ski sessions with table dancing. Later, the windowless vaulted cellar creates a late-night mood where guests can easily lose track of time.
