Old Mill Hotel and the Mill, Salisbury

Old Mill Hotel and the Mill, Salisbury

The Old Mill Hotel, located in West Harnham along the River Avon, was built in the mid-12th century. In the 16th century the house was converted from church property to one of the UK's first paper mills. The River Nadder was diverted to flow under the mill. The structure retains some of the original doors and windows. There is an eatery at the hotel, which provides indoor and outdoor seating. A short passage leads in back to the beer garden, which offers a tempting array of drinks.
