Paradise Road Gallery Cafe, Colombo

Paradise Road Gallery Cafe is a space that combines a café, restaurant, and art gallery. It was created by Sri Lankan designer Shanth Fernando, known for supporting modern local design and craft. The building is arranged with simple rooms and small courtyards. White walls, natural light, and plants give the place a quiet and open feel, suitable for both dining and viewing art.

The gallery areas host changing exhibitions of paintings, photographs, sculptures, and design objects by local and international artists. Displays are simple, with little text, so visitors can focus on the artworks. The café menu is mainly Western, with some Asian influences. It includes salads, pasta, rice dishes, desserts, and a wide selection of tea and coffee. Portions are moderate, and the food is simply presented. Many visitors come for lunch, afternoon tea, or a relaxed dinner, often spending time in the gallery as well.
