Park Place, Dubai

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Dubai, or if you simply want to admire the architecture of the city’s amazing skyscrapers, go and see Park Place on Sheik Zayed Road.

This 234 meter high building is the 10th tallest skyscraper in Dubai. It has 56 storeys and is one of the tallest hotels in the world. It was commissioned by Bin Drai Enterprises and opened in 2007. The structure is concrete and steel with a curtain wall façade of light brown and light green glass.

The building has nineteen floors of office space, but its main use is as an appart/hotel with fully equipped luxury residences, consisting of one, two or three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a kitchen and separate dining and living areas. Each apartment is sound-proofed and has floor to ceiling windows with magnificent views of the Arabian Gulf. The equipment in each apartment includes access to Internet via Wi-Fi, an LCD flat-screen TV with DVD player and an iPod docking station.

There is a Beauty Salon and Ladies Spa, a 40 meter swimming pool, a fully-equipped gym, saunas and steam rooms. The hotel’s restaurant has an international menu and there is also a resident’s lounge, DVD library, baby-sitting service, an in-house doctor and a grocery shopping service.
