Postal Museum, Taipei

Chunghwa Post established the Postal Museum on December 1, 1965, to promote business growth and improve public awareness of postal servicesa. Initially, the museum was situated in a remote and less accessible location on Hsintien Shitou Road. However, to better serve its original purpose as a means of social education, the museum was relocated to its current site in 1984.

The Postal Museum boasts an extensive and valuable collection, employing various display techniques. The permanent exhibition areas, spanning from the 2nd to the 5th floors, showcase stamps, postal history, and cultural artifacts in static displays. Additionally, these areas feature dynamic elements such as multimedia presentations, virtual reality experiences, interactive games, and role-playing installations.

The 6th floor is dedicated to special exhibitions focused on philately or art, while the 7th floor serves as a library housing a wealth of specialized postal materials, philatelic documents, and general archives, all available for public circulation. On the ground floor lobby, a service counter caters to stamp enthusiasts interested in purchasing exquisite philatelic products or seeking consultation.

Furthermore, the 2nd floor houses an Audiovisual Room, while the 10th floor is equipped with a Seminar Room and Auditorium, all of which are available for rental to the general public.
