Rafaela Gallery, Sofia

Rafaela Gallery, Sofia

Rafaela Gallery was established in May 1996. Initially, it was under the direction of Rafaela Koleva (RIP), who curated numerous exhibitions featuring works of fine art and graphics by various artists over the years. Since 2021, the gallery has been under the management of Nikolay Kolev and now features a continuous exhibition of icons and fine art created by several artists.

The Rafaela Gallery boasts an extensive collection of replica icons, predominantly of Bulgarian Orthodox origin but also including foreign examples. Additionally, it houses reproductions of frescoes from churches and monasteries, alongside a selection of original woodcarvings. If you have an interest in religious or iconic art, this gallery is a must-visit destination for you.
