Rock Pub, Bangkok

Rock Pub, Bangkok

The Rock Pub is a well-known establishment dedicated to rock and metal music located on Phaya Thai Road in Bangkok. Situated in the Pathum Wan District, it is in close proximity to the popular Siam area, home to shopping malls like Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and MBK Center, as well as the bustling Siam Square shopping district. Additionally, Pantip Plaza shopping mall is located in the opposite direction from the pub.

This iconic venue first opened its doors on March 1, 1987, and has hosted numerous local and international bands over the years. Over nearly three decades, The Rock Pub's stage has witnessed the performances of many rock bands, with several of them achieving fame in Thailand's music industry. These artists credit their success, in part, to the valuable experience gained from performing at the venue night after night.

The Rock Pub has also welcomed artists from around the world to its stage. Bands like Sodom, Dragonforce, Doro, Exodus, Mr. Gary Bowden, Napalm Death, and King Lychee from Hong Kong are among those who have graced the venue with their performances.

Throughout its history, The Rock Pub has encountered various challenges, including the economic shock of 1997, which nearly forced it to close its doors. However, thanks to the unwavering support of musicians and patrons during difficult times, the venue has persevered. Every March 1st since its inception in 1987, rock enthusiasts from all over Thailand have gathered to celebrate each passing year.

7 Places in Bangkok for Superb Street Food

Eating is huge in Bangkok, and luckily for the famished, you won't be that way for long, regardless of the hour. You can find conglomerations of vendors selling five-star fast food (in the you-won't-have-to-wait-long-to-enjoy-it sense, not McDonald's style) for under 100 baht (roughly...
