VIDA! Science Centre, Brno

VIDA! Science Center is an amusement science park for the popularization and support of science in Brno with a permanent interactive exhibition that presents dozens of scientific phenomena in four basic areas - Planet, Civilization, Human and Microworld. The accompanying program includes performances with scientific experiments and special programs for schools and the public. The Science Center is located in the premises of the former Pavilion D at the Brno Exhibition Center. It opened to the public on December 1, 2014. At the end of January 2019, he visited VIDA! millionth visitor.

The operator of VIDA! is the Moravian Science Center Brno, a contribution organization of the South Moravian Region. In addition to the South Moravian Region, the statutory city of Brno has also committed to financing the operation of the science center for the duration of the project's sustainability. VIDA Fun Science Park! is part of the Czech Science Center Association.

VIDA! The science center is being implemented thanks to the "Moravian Science Center Brno" project, the preparation of which began in 2009. The founder of the project is the South Moravian Region, which applied for a grant under the Operational Program Research and Development for Innovation . The grant was granted and on June 28, 2013, the construction of VIDA itself began! science center.

In connection with the operation of the newly emerging park VIDA! the Moravian Science Center Brno contribution organization was founded in the South Moravian Region. VIDA! The aim of the science center is to popularize science among the general public, develop tourism in the South Moravian region and strengthen the region's image in the area of supporting science, research and innovation.

The ceremonial opening for the implementers and partners of the project took place on November 28, 2014, for the public with the gates of VIDA! science centers opened on December 1, 2014.
