Blob Club, Florence
Among the trendiest establishments found in Florence, the Blob Club is located nearby the Old Palace ("Palazzo Vecchio") on Via Vinegia. This quaint two-level club features a dance floor downstairs with intimate lounge seating, while the upstairs balcony provides tables overlooking the action taking place on the dance floor below. Entertainment runs the gamut and includes anything from old school hip hop tracks and classic rock to old pop tunes and Italian classics, as well as open mic shows on Wednesday nights. The interior décor, which includes fine art paintings, gives the Blob Club an artsy appeal.
Popular with tourists, the Blob Club receives a predominantly English-speaking crowd and can bring in some very interesting characters, but that's what makes it part of the fun.
Tip:
If possible, consider going with regular patrons as this can help you avoid the cover charge.
