Camacrafts, Vientiane
Camacrafts is a small handicraft shop connected with a nonprofit project created by CAMA Services in 1990. The program was started to help Lao and Hmong communities rebuild their livelihoods after the Vietnam War. Its main goal is to provide steady income for women living in rural villages. Many artisans work from their homes, producing handmade pieces that are later brought to the shop and sold.
The products focus on traditional textile work using techniques such as reverse appliqué, cross-stitch, embroidery, and batik.
