Flagler Memorial Bridge, West Palm Beach

Flagler Memorial Bridge, West Palm Beach

The Flagler Memorial Bridge is a key link between the mainland of West Palm Beach and the island of Palm Beach, spanning the Intracoastal Waterway with both historical and modern significance. Originally built in 1927 and replaced in 1938, the bridge has long served as a vital connector in the region.

Its most recent transformation involved a complete redesign and reconstruction to accommodate modern traffic demands while honoring the area's heritage. Today’s bridge features a traditional aesthetic inspired by community requests to pay tribute to Henry Flagler, the influential industrialist and founder of modern-day Palm Beach. The upgraded bridge includes four divided traffic lanes, separated sidewalks for pedestrians, and bike-friendly railings-creating a safe, accessible route for all travelers.
