Henry Doorly Zoo, Omaha

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium started as Riverview Park Zoo in 1894 and evolved over the years. Today, it's known for its significant exhibits such as "Kingdoms of the Night," the world's largest nocturnal exhibit and indoor swamp. The "Lied Jungle" is one of North America's largest indoor rainforests, and the "Desert Dome," the largest glazed geodesic dome housing an indoor desert. The zoo focuses on four pillars: Conservation, Research, Recreation, and Education, represented in its logo.

Over time, the zoo has expanded its offerings, including rides like the tram, train, carousel, and Skyfari, an aerial tram inaugurated in 2009. It's situated near the former site of Rosenblatt Stadium, where the zoo has developed new facilities while preserving a small memorial at the location of home plate.
