IJssportcentrum (Ice Sports Centre), Eindhoven

Located in the Genneper Parken, a vibrant nature, sports, and recreation area in southern Eindhoven, the Ice Sports Centre (IJssportcentrum) Eindhoven is a premier destination for ice sports enthusiasts. This multi-rink facility caters to a wide range of disciplines, including figure skating, speed skating, short track, long track skating, and ice hockey. It serves as the home base of the Eindhoven Kemphanen ice hockey club and is a hub for both competitive and recreational skating.

The facility boasts three ice rinks: a 400-meter semi-covered track, designed for long track skating, with a grandstand capacity of 800 seats; a fully covered ice hockey arena with 1,700 seats, featuring a 2,800 square meters rink for professional matches; and a second indoor rink, primarily used for training sessions and youth games.

Beyond sports, the Ice Sports Centre offers a catering service, a children’s escape room, and Rono Sport, a dedicated skating equipment supplier present since the center’s inception.

Open from mid-October to early March, the ice sports center provides daily public skating sessions from 10:00 to 18:00. Outside the skating season, the venue transforms into a multi-purpose event space, hosting flea markets, music festivals, and other gatherings.

As a key location for Dutch ice hockey development, the center houses the Dutch Ice Hockey Association (NIJB) and the Dutch Ice Hockey Academy (NIJA). It regularly hosts competitions and training camps for national teams and young talents.

Whether you’re a seasoned skater, a hockey fan, or just looking for some ice dancing fun, the Ice Sports Centre is the ultimate winter sports experience in the Netherlands.
