Living World, Denpasar

Living World is one of Bali’s largest modern shopping centres, opened in 2023 as a mix of retail, dining, entertainment, and home-living stores. Aimed mainly at local families and residents, it also gives tourists a practical place for shopping, meals, cinema, and everyday services. Alongside fashion, cafés, and children’s areas, Pendopo adds local character with Indonesian crafts, textiles, snacks, and small-business products.

The building uses Balinese design references, with large entrance gates, landscaped areas, fountain features, decorative stonework, and open spaces that make it feel less like a standard mall. It also promotes sustainability through solar panels, LED lighting, and recycled wastewater for plants and fountains. Another distinctive feature is its pet-friendly concept, with outdoor walkways, riverside areas, and a rooftop community park where visitors may see pets on leashes or in strollers.

Beyond shopping, Living World serves as a social space, with an Asian Market featuring over 50 local culinary startups and regional Indonesian dishes. Outdoor areas include a riverside jogging track, gathering stairs, and a 500-seat amphitheatre for dance, music, family activities, and events, while nursery rooms, wheelchair access, and large scooter parking add practical value.
