Moti Masjid, or the “Pearl Mosque,” is a beautiful white marble structure built during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. It was designed as a private mosque for the emperor and his court, and it still stands as a peaceful reminder of the Mughal era’s skill and artistry.

The mosque gets its name from the way the marble shines softly in the light, giving it the smooth glow of a pearl. Visitors will find the atmosphere calm and quiet, offering a nice break from the busy surroundings of the fort complex where it stands.

The mosque is built on a red sandstone base, which makes its white marble exterior stand out even more. Its façade is made up of several graceful arches supported by slim columns, and three rounded domes sit perfectly balanced on top.
