Museum of Greek Children's Art, Athens

This museum is dedicated to art by children up to 14 years of age. It has donations from organizations that work with children from all over the world as well as works by young Greek artists.

The Museum of Greek Children’s Art is a small private museum founded in 1994. Paintings and 3 dimensional art works by young children from different parts of Greece are exhibited at the gallery. The collection is enriched periodically by art donations from international organizations that work for children. The organization, ‘Save the Children’, has given a toy collection from Africa to the museum and a series of first drawing attempts by Kalash children of North West Pakistan.

The Museum of Greek Children’s Art also organizes programs to develop the artistic talents of children. Games, audio visual representations and teaching programs are held to make children enjoy art and develop creative abilities. Programs are also held for the benefit of children with special needs. Themed exhibitions sponsored by major Greek institutions are held throughout the year.

This museum is a must see for visitors traveling in Greece with children below the age of 14. Children can develop a love for art and sharpen their artistic skills by learning from its many interactive programs.
