Music City Convention Center, Nashville

Music City Convention Center, Nashville

The Music City Center in Nashville is one of the largest convention centers in the United States. Opened in May 2013, it covers over 2.1 million square feet, featuring a 353,000+ square foot exhibition hall, 60 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, and a 1,800-seat theater. It also has an on-site food court, retail shops, and a rooftop garden. Apart from that, the center has been recognized for its innovative design and sustainability features, such as rainwater harvesting and a solar panel array.

An interesting fact about the Music City Center is that it features several pieces of art and design elements that pay tribute to the city's musical heritage. Primarily, this includes the curvaceous outward appearance of the building, resembling a guitar. Also, the center's grand lobby features a giant guitar pick made of steel, and there are musical notes incorporated into the building's exterior. Additionally, there is a large art installation in the center's exhibition hall that features over 7,000 colored glass panels, which create a colorful and immersive experience for visitors.

Apart from concerts, the Music City Center hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including trade shows, conventions, and other large-scale gatherings. Some of the notable, high-profile events that have taken place here include the National Rifle Association Annual Meeting, the CMA Music Festival, the Americana Music Festival & Conference, the NFL Draft, the National High School Finals Rodeo, and the Southern Baptist Convention, among others.

And if you're keen on sporting events, you can catch a national volleyball tournament here. It may well run alongside a log home show and a concert – all at the same time!
