Old South Side Fire Station, Fort Lauderdale

Old South Side Fire Station, Fort Lauderdale

The South Side Fire Station was second station built in Fort Lauderdale. Established in 1925 by Chief Sherman, it came at a time when the city badly needed a new fire station for the growing community on both sides of the New River. This Spanish eclectic style building continued to serve as a fire station until 1985. The station building has been carefully preserved and restored, today a private law office.
