Paco do Frevo (Frevo Palace), Recife

Paco do Frevo (Frevo Palace), Recife

Frevo Palace is a key center dedicated to preserving and promoting frevo, a significant Brazilian cultural tradition recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The facility, curated by Bia Lessa, offers workshops, musical performances, and various activities that allow visitors to experience the essence of Recife's Carnival year-round.

The museum is housed in a historic building that once served the Western Telegraph Company, an important part of Brazil's telegraph history, and is now a part of the tourist attractions of Recife and Olinda. Managed by the Institute of Development and Management (IDG), the project is supported by various sponsors and government bodies, ensuring that the vibrant rhythm of frevo remains a living part of Recife's cultural identity.
